Fall is in the air this weekend! From puppy parades to trips through Pumpkinville’s festivities, prepare yourself for an apple-cider-and-pumpkin-spice kind of experience in Oklahoma City.

Pumpkinville Happy Hour | Oct. 14

This Friday, spend your evening out at Pumpkinville’s adult night, where food and drinks will be served. This year’s theme is “Witches and Wizards,” so wear your spookiest attire to fit the atmosphere. Take a stroll through the park and spot the seasonal flora and fauna, enjoy murals of hundreds of pumpkins, or jump on Mo’s Carousel if you’re feeling young again. Make sure to register beforehand, as capacity is limited. 5:30–7:30 p.m., Myriad Botanical Gardens, OKC.

Red Earth FallFest | Oct. 15

This weekend, head over to the Myriad Gardens for a fantastic festival celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day. With over 17 acres of botanical gardens to explore along with its interactive children’s park, there’s fun for the whole family. At the start of the celebration will be the Grand Parade, with lively performances from tribal leaders, dancers, princesses and native organizations. The Youth PowWow Contest will begin prior to the parade with an artist market opening afterward. 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Myriad Botanical Gardens, OKC.

Fall Botanical Embroidery | Oct. 15

What better way to prepare for pumpkin-spice season than a fall-themed embroidery session? Cozy up your home with personalized embroidery pieces from a beginner-level course with Chirping Chickadee Embroidery. Tool usage, basic stitches, patterns, details and finishing techniques will be taught until you’ve created a botanical fall statement piece for your own space. 1–4 p.m., Terrace Room at the Myriad Botanical Gardens, OKC.

Spooky Pooch Parade | Oct. 16

Who said costumes are just for people? This Halloween season, bring your furry friends to the Spooky Pooch Parade. Dress your puppies up to the nines (or get their paws into other crazy costumes) to stroll down Oklahoma City’s Myriad Gardens. While your dogs show off their tricks and treats, you might even snag a prize for best dressed! Make sure to come hungry, as a variety of food and drinks will be available for purchase. 2–3 p.m., Myriad Botanical Gardens, OKC.
