5 PM – After after 5 at OKCMOA.  EVERY THURSDAY during Art After 5, take advantage of the discounted ticket rate to roam about our art galleries, shop the Museum Store, and purchase specialty drinks!

6 PM – Tyler Fischer at Bricktown Comedy Club. Tyler Fischer is an actor, stand-up comedian and viral content creator based in NYC. He has performed stand-up on America’s Got Talent, been a guest star on NBC’s Chicago Med, TV Land’s YOUNGER and STARTUP on Netflix. Tyler is known for his viral content with over 200 million views on his online videos. He was named “The Best New Impressionist” by the New York Times and “NY’s Funniest Comedian” at the NY Comedy Festival. He has been on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and co-starred alongside Gina Carano in the movie Terror on the Prairie on The Daily Wire. Tyler is a regular at the Comedy Cellar and is currently touring his stand-up comedy around the country!

ALL DAY – Annual Plant-a-Prairie Online Sale (Myriad Gardens)  Online sale begins Friday, April 5, 12pm. Pick up Saturday, April 13, between 9am-12pm. Get descriptions here. Packages offer landscape plugs in quantities of 5 and 10, measuring 2″ x 5″ deep. Groups of 8 are available in the size of 2.22″ x 4″.

8 PM – KOSU Welcomes: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at Tower Theatre. The band blends a vibrant fusion of the classic American sounds of jazz, swing, and dixieland, with the energy and spirit of contemporary culture. Oklahoma City’s downtown producer market is celebrating its fifth season, bringing the freshest produce and locally grown and crafted goods to our community. We invite you to make the Farmers Market at Scissortail Park part of your weekly shopping routine. Located at the corner of Oklahoma City Boulevard and South Robinson Avenue. FREE parking available during market hours for vendors and shoppers directly north of the Park.

9 AM – Walk for Adoption at Scissortail Park. We will serve breakfast from Rudy’s BBQ at 9am and the walk will start at 9:30am. Registration is $25 per adult and $15 per kids between ages 4-17. T-shirts are included with each registration. Register today here.

9 AM – Leave and Take Compost at Scissortail Park. Bring us your compost materials from home and we’ll have free compost available for you to take for your personal gardens. Acceptable items: Produce scraps, Coffee grounds, Egg shells, Fresh plant matter, Cardboard, Toilet paper/paper towel rolls, Shredded paper, Dried leaves or dead plant matter.

10 AM – Terrific Tulips at Myriad Gardens. Meet in the Children’s Garden area. Member $5; Nonmember $7. Best for ages 3-5. Register by Thursday, April 4 HERE. Bring your little one to learn about the life cycle of a tulip with a story book, lesson and craft.

10 AM – Scissortail Park’s Taking Flight Wind and Kite Festival with Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma. Families and children of all ages are invited to join for high-flying adventures at the upcoming Taking Flight Wind and Kite Festival hosted at Scissortail Park. The free event is planned for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Love’s Travel Stops Great Lawn at 415 S. Robinson Ave in Oklahoma City.

1 PM – Workshop: Spring Floral Beaded Earrings at Myriad Gardens. Located inside the Terrace Room. Member $35; Nonmember $40. Suzie Loveless, Handmade with Loveless. Register by Thursday, April 4 HERE. Welcome Spring in Style: Join Suzie Loveless of Handmade with Love(less) in creating your own unique pair of beaded earrings featuring spring botanicals. Suzie will walk us through the steps it takes to create a gorgeous set of botanically-inspired earrings in the color scheme of your choice. This class is suitable for beginners to more advanced crafters. Age 14+. All supplies included.

1 PM – Give that Special Someone the Bird – Workshop at Norman Firehouse Arts Center. Get your whimsy on and Give that Special Someone the Bird! Students will create their very own whimsical Bird using basic stained glass skills. Register here.

2 PM – Worms and Vermicomposting 101 at Myriad Gardens. Meet at the Terrace Room. Member $8; Nonmember $10. Best for ages 5-12. Register by Wednesday, April 3 HERE. Join us to learn the ins and outs of vermicomposting and explore how worms help create soil. Each participant will make and take home their very own worm compost bin, worms included.

6 PM – Doodle Magnets: An Introduction to Carving in Clay – Workshop at Norman Firehouse Arts Center. In this workshop, explore ceramic surface decoration techniques of mishima and sgraffito by creating a set of magnets. Mishima is the process of inlaying color into a carved surface while sgraffito is the process of carving into a color to reveal the base color of your clay. Bring your drawings to life and learn tips to create unique intricate carved designs. Register here.

1 PM – Label Design Workshop at Norman Firehouse Arts Center. In this workshop you will name a beer, create your own piece of art for your label, and take home your finished product design on a bottle of beer! Our focus will be on creating a finished product brand from concept. All levels of artistic abilities are welcome! All attendees must be 21 and up. Workshop includes all necessary art supplies, guided instruction, and a bottle of beer to take home. Register here.

12 PM – Solar Eclipse Watch Event at Myriad Gardens. Join us for a fun experience together, sponsored by the Dean McGee Eye Institute, on Monday, April 8, 12-2pm. The 93.9% coverage is at 1:45pm so we’ll get safely ready and prepared. Dean McGee Eye Institute will generously provide free solar glasses to the first 500 attendees. 7:30 PM – OCU Wind Ensemble and Wind Philharmonic Season Finale. The OCU Wind Ensemble and OCU Wind Philharmonic present their season finale concert Tuesday, April 9, at OCCC’s Visual and Performing Arts Center, 7777 S. May Ave. Admission is free and open to the public.
