The Oklahoma City Ballet will be performing its 2nd annual Ballet Under the Stars this Friday — a free event for all to attend! Starting at 7 pm in Scissortail Park, OKC’s professional ballet dancers will be partnering with students from the Yvonne Chouteau School and the OU School of Dance for a dazzling performance. Families are encouraged to bring their kids for a meet & greet with the dancers at 6 pm. For even more fun, a family dance class will be held at 6:30 pm before the show.
The Backstreet Boys are back for OKC this weekend! This Sunday at 7:30 pm, the band’s DNA World Tour will be showcased at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. Grab your friends to listen to some of the best hits and throwbacks. Tickets can be purchased online.
In the mood for Taco Tuesdays all the time? Oklahoma City’s Taco Fest starts Saturday the 11th, at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Bar and beverage stations will be set up for all the margaritas your heart desires. The celebration ends at 6 pm, so you have all day to enjoy OKC’s most delicious Mexican food.
This Saturday, OKC’s Boathouse District is bringing back Floating Films! If you’re in the mood for the full experience, rent a tube or raft to enjoy the showing of “Jaws.” Families who decide against the splash zone can bring chairs or blankets to watch the films from the banks of the lower pond. Snacks and drinks will be offered at the Big Water American Bar and Grill until 10 pm.
