With a career shaped by some of the nation’s most respected medical institutions, Dr. Sarah Christensen brings a refined balance of clinical expertise, compassion and whole-person care to Remedy Rheumatology in Oklahoma City. Her path began at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where she earned her Bachelor of Science before returning to the Chicago area to complete her medical degree at Loyola Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
Drawn to the heart of patient-centered care, she moved to Oklahoma City to pursue Internal Medicine residency training and a subsequent fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She is now board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology.
At Remedy, Dr. Christensen’s philosophy stands out, with a practice built on a conservative, collaborative, and holistic model that pairs evidence-based conventional treatment with a strong focus on prevention, lifestyle optimization and long-term wellness. It’s an approach rooted in the belief that exceptional rheumatologic care requires treating the whole person, not just the disease.
Patients describe Dr. Christensen as kind, compassionate, and a faithful listener, which are qualities that help them feel heard, safe, and supported as they navigate chronic autoimmune conditions and degenerative arthritis. Her advice to patients reflects the heart of her practice: find a thoughtful, patient-centered team to walk beside you, one committed to clarity and individualized care.
At Remedy Rheumatology, Dr. Christensen offers exactly that – expert medicine delivered with intention, understanding, and a deep commitment to long-term vitality.
