About the Oklahoma Tennis Foundation
The Oklahoma Tennis Foundation (OKTF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to positively impacting lives by supporting and funding programs that promote tennis and education to foster health, inclusion, and personal growth throughout the state of Oklahoma. Through scholarships, grants, and community outreach clinics, the Foundation works to make the sport accessible to individuals of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
Guided by the belief that We Start With Love, OKTF’s values are centered on spreading the love of the game, uplifting communities, and creating opportunities for growth both on and off the court. Each initiative aims to enrich lives, build character, and expand opportunities for Oklahomans across all 77 counties.
A Year of Growth and Giving
The year 2025 was defined by expansion and generosity through OKTF’s core initiatives:
Scholarships – More than $112,500 was awarded, supporting deserving players and students through College and Junior High Performance Scholarships.
Grants – With more than $145,000 distributed to organizations, OKTF provided vital funding to programs that promote inclusion, health, and community engagement.
Outreach Clinics – OKTF hosted 8 free clinics, reaching more than 800 children in communities including Durant, Edmond, McAlester, Norman, Pauls Valley, and Ponca City. These clinics introduced young players to the game while teaching life lessons in teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
As OKTF Executive Director Carmen Bond shares, “The impact OKTF is making across our entire state is truly exciting. We are well on our way to reaching our goal of creating a tennis footprint in all 77 counties.”
Since 2019, OKTF has awarded 88 scholarships totaling more than $262,500, distributed 84 community grants exceeding $523,901, and hosted 30 free tennis clinics, impacting more than 20,000 lives across Oklahoma.
The OKTF Pro Series: Elevating Tennis in Oklahoma
In 2025, OKTF continued to raise the standard for tennis in the state through the OKTF Pro Series, which featured three marquee events that drew national and international attention:
- OKTF Invitational – A spirited celebration of tennis and community that brought together players, sponsors, and supporters to further the Foundation’s mission.
- OKTF Edmond Open W100 – The first professional W100 women’s tennis event in Oklahoma, hosted at Edmond Center Court.
- OKTF Norman Open M25 and W35 – Hosted at the OU Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman.
Each event elevated Oklahoma’s visibility in the tennis world while advancing OKTF’s mission of accessibility and opportunity for all.
Looking Ahead: Celebrating 15 Years of Impact
The Oklahoma Tennis Foundation is proud to celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2026, marking fifteen years of serving communities, supporting youth, and growing the game across the state. As OKTF Night of Hope Co-Chair Michele Hill shares, “I love serving on the Oklahoma Tennis Foundation board, and it is incredibly rewarding to see the faces of the lives we are impacting. Tennis changes lives, and we are committed to sharing it across our state. The NOH is our largest annual fundraiser and the perfect place to experience the generosity of our Oklahoma tennis community.”
To honor this milestone, OKTF will host its annual We Start With Love: Night of Hope on January 30, 2026, at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. This inspiring event will bring together friends, supporters, and tennis enthusiasts for cocktails, dinner, and fundraising opportunities, all while celebrating a shared passion for tennis and community. As Co-Chair Terri Ogle reflects, “Tennis is changing lives across Oklahoma. The Night of Hope is a powerful reminder of the impact we can make together.”
Together, we will commemorate fifteen years of impact and continue to build a brighter future for tennis in Oklahoma. Join us on January 30 for an evening to sip, savor, and support. Every moment makes a difference.
