Beautiful things are found in small packages. Art lovers may choose from a complete visual delight created by 175 carefully chosen artists, and ensure our state’s talent continues to grow through artist grants, professional development workshops and numerous exhibitions, at Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition’s captivating fundraiser.
The 12×12 event fuses clever creations – in the form of painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry and ceramics – with tastings from local establishments and live music in an evening of delicious artistic fun at 50 Penn Place.
The 28th annual art show restricts artists to creating a piece no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches. Visitors can delve deep into all that Oklahoma artists have to offer, while enjoying the perfect opportunity to start their own collection with so many affordable pieces from which to choose.
Krystle Brewer, OVAC executive director, said the funds raised are vital to the arts community, adding “12×12 is not only one of the most exciting art events of the year, it is also our only fundraiser. The funds raised from 12×12 go directly back to our artists and community.
“This event highlights 175 Oklahoma artists working in a myriad of media and styles, and includes local talent in both food and entertainment. A night to not be missed.”
A preview exhibition is being held until Sept. 25 at Leadership Square’s Bank of America Gallery before the big showcase and sale on Sept. 29.
