Future Voices: A Choreographic Showcase

Time: Friday 8 PM, Saturday 2 & 7 PM, Sunday 2 PM

Location: OKC Ballet’s Insamuch Foundation Theatre in the Susan E. Brackett Dance Center, 6800 N. Classen Blvd.

Price: $30

Oklahoma City Ballet presents its wildly successful Future Voices: A Choreographic Showcase for the seventh year, with incredible new pieces created by dancers from the ballet’s company. Without huge sets or intricate costumes, audiences can witness the beauty of this art form—and it is no wonder that this is among the corps’ most popular traditions. This year, there will be two weekends of performances, so be sure to grab your tickets while they are still available!

 

Vast’s Mile High Cocktail Lounge: Italy

High above Oklahoma City, Vast is hosting their annual Mile High Cocktail Lounge, with escapes to global hotspots. This weekend, Vast has partnered with Malfi for a delicious Italian bites, complimenting craft cocktails and a romantic themed lounge that is sure to convince you that you have actually landed in coastal Italy. Seating is limited and boarding passes are available each Tuesday at 12 noon, so book your first class ticket while you can!

 

Circle Mirror Transformation             

Time: Friday & Saturday 8 PM, Sunday 2:30 PM

Location: 3rd Act Theatre Company, The Shoppes at Northpark, 12000 N. May Ave.

Through March 15, 3rd Act Theatre Company will present Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker. Marty teaches at a local community center and leads four students through a series of acting exercises. Winner of the Obie Award for Best New American Play, Circle Mirror Transformation discusses elements of the human experience, as the characters take the audience on a journey of romance, heartbreak and healing.

 

Ken Ludwig’s Moriarty: A New Sherlock Holmes Mystery           

Time: Friday & Saturday 8 PM, Sunday 2 PM

Location: Carpenter Square Theatre, 1009 W. Reno Ave.

When a Bohemian king’s letters are stolen, it is only logical that Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson would be brought in to solve the case. Ken Ludwig’s Moriarty features five performers playing over 40 roles full to create a play full of adventure, danger and laughter. This is a must-see for any Sherlock Holmes lover.

 

The Odd Couple

Time: Friday & Saturday 8 PM, Sunday 2 PM

Location: Pollard Theatre, 120 W. Harrison Ave., Guthrie

The hilarious Neil Simon play The Odd Couple takes on new life with the all-female version of the beloved classic, on stage at the Pollard Theatre through March 28. Neat freak Florence and free spirit Olive find themselves sharing an apartment, but just drive each other crazy! Watch as this pair find their way to successful cohabitation and friendship, with lots of laughs in the process.

Live! on the Plaza

The monthly block party in The Plaza happens this Friday night, and it is a great time to fall in love all over again with one of our quirkiest districts. Find unique gifts from one of the funky local shops, stop in to have a bite to eat or a cocktail at one of the many restaurants or bars or just check out the Plaza Walls murals.

 

Paddy’s Rave

Get your green on this Friday night at the Paddy’s Rave—dance the night away to your favorite Y2K classics and electronic dance music in the greenest clothes you own!

 

Live Action: 2026 Oscar Nominated Short Films

Location: Oklahoma City Museum of Art, 415 Couch Drive

If you are a movie buff, this is your chance to catch all five of this year’s live action short film nominees on the big screen. With the longest film being only 36 minutes, this evening is sure to fly by, and give you plenty of time to predict the winner of this category.

 

Guided Walking Tour at the Botanical Gardens                          

Location: Myriad Botanical Gardens, 301 W. Reno Ave.

The Myriad Botanical Gardens offers a free walking tour throughout the gardens, led by a member of its horticultural staff. Visitors will meet in the Crystal Bridge Lobby to learn about some of Oklahoma’s native plants and get plenty of inspiration for their own gardens at home.

 

Saturday, March 14

St. Patrick’s Parade             

Time: 10 AM

Location: Stockyards City, beginning at the corner of Exchange Avenue and Penn Avenue

Price: Free!

The Stockyard’s annual St. Patrick’s Parade is this Saturday morning and this is one tradition you do not want to miss! Enjoy everything Irish including bagpipes and Irish dancers, as well as the other parade regulars like cool cars, beauty queens, horses and cattle.

 

Masters of Music: Italy            

Time: 7:30 PM

Location: Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker Ave.

Price: Tickets beginning at $24

The Civic Center will transform into the Italian countryside this Saturday evening as Maestro Alexander Mickelthwate conducts the Oklahoma City Philharmonic in a performance of Masters of Music: Italy. This concert features world renowned pianist Fei-Fei and will include masterpieces by Verdi, Casella, Albinoni and Respighi.

 

Second Saturday at Oklahoma Contemporary            

Time: 1-4 PM

Location: Oklahoma Contemporary, 11 NW 11th Ave.

Price: Free!

Every second Saturday, Oklahoma Contemporary offers family friendly, art-inspired programming including a take-home art project and gallery chats, as well as now featuring visual and performance artists. This Saturday, grabs the kids to create your own oiled paper lanterns and experience the new exhibit Solid Light by Anthony McCall, which opens to the public on Friday.

Oklahoma’s “Official Country Music Show” takes place every Saturday night in Bricktown. The Oklahoma Opry has been providing family-friendly entertainment since 1977 and invites you to come see some of the best and brightest in country music. Music of all genres will be performed both by veteran and newer artists, rotating weekly.

 

Second Saturday Pop Up Market

Grab lunch or dinner (or both!) at downtown’s hottest food hall and shop local vendors at the same time. This event happens the second Saturday of every month, and vendors vary.

 

Sunday, March 15

Run Lucky 5K

Location: Fassler Hall, 421 NW 10th St.

Run Lucky  has partnered with Autism Oklahoma and Fassler Hall to celebrate their 15th year of holding an incredible 5K through the heart of the Midtown district. Wear your best green gear or festive St. Patrick’s Day costumes and run your fastest, because there is a free beer waiting for you at the finish line. Participants also receive a t-shirt and finishers award.

 

Song Writer Sessions

Time: 3-6 PM

Location: Core4 Brewing, 7 N. Lee Ave.

If you are a songwriter, or even just aspire to be one someday, this event is for you! Every third Sunday of the month, head to Core4 Brewing where host Sam Marlow will provide inspiration, tips and advice on your original songs. This is a great way to network in our local music community.

 

Sunday Jazz Brunch at Tellers

Ink & Draw Illustration Club

Location: Literati Bookshop, 3022 Paseo

This weekly, peer-led illustration club is a great place for anyone with a goal of bettering their art. With the focus on comics and pop art, this is a great place to meet other local artists and receive instant feedback and encouragement. Just bring your own drawing supplies.
