Women Who Move The City: Dr. Emily Morgan Pollard of Align Inverventional Pain

A former Division I golfer turned interventional pain physician, Dr. Emily Morgan Pollard is building a more connected path from first visit to recovery in Oklahoma.

For Dr. Emily Morgan Pollard, progress begins by listening. As founder of Align Interventional Pain, she has built a practice around understanding not only where patients hurt, but what pain is keeping them from doing—and using modern medicine to help them get back to it.

As an Oklahoma native and Division I golfer at Baylor University, Dr. Pollard learned early the value of discipline, persistence and continual improvement. After medical school at the University of Oklahoma, she completed her anesthesiology residency and interventional pain management fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Her advanced training prepared her to bring innovative, evidence-based pain treatments to Oklahoma, with a focus on improving mobility and quality of life.

Since opening Align in 2020, Dr. Pollard has helped expand access to individualized pain care in Oklahoma City and Enid. Her approach pairs careful evaluation with conservative treatment and minimally invasive therapies, including spinal cord stimulation, radiofrequency ablation, kyphoplasty and SI joint fusion. Every plan begins with the person, not simply the diagnosis, ensuring that each patient’s unique needs and goals are prioritized for better outcomes.

In 2025, Dr. Pollard expanded that vision with the opening of Memorial Pain Surgery Center. The center allows the team to care for patients’ interventional pain and minimally invasive spine needs under one roof, creating a more connected path from clinic visits to procedures and, when appropriate, minimally invasive surgery. For patients, that means greater continuity, familiar faces, and a team that remains closely involved throughout treatment, fostering trust and reassurance.

As a physician, business owner, mother of two, former collegiate golfer and advocate for women in medicine, Dr. Pollard understands that moving a city forward happens in many ways. Her work is measured not only by innovation, but also by the everyday victories that matter most—a return to family, work, movement and the life pain had interrupted.
