Storyteller Theatre is bringing the classic Charlotte Brontë novel Jane Eyre to the stage, adapted by Darcy Blair, Lancia Berglan, and Mikala Novitsky. Follow orphaned Jane as she overcomes a harsh childhood full of obstacles to eventually find independence and love. All performances will be at the new proscenium theatre venue on NE 23rd Street.
October 1 – 11
The powerful musical Come From Away, by David Hein and Irene Sankoff, is based on the true story which occurred in Gander, Newfoundland, when over 7,000 airline passengers were stranded because of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Come From Away highlights the good in humanity, focusing on the kindness of strangers, celebrating new friendships and being able to come together in a time of tragedy. By popular demand, five additional performances were added through Oct. 11.
October 2
Renaissance Ball Late Night
Oklahoma City Museum of Art will host its annual, sold-out Renaissance Ball with the hottest afterparty in town occurring immediately after dinner. Dress in your best Art Nouveau, as this year’s theme is inspired by the upcoming exhibition The Triumph of Nature: Art Nouveau from the Chrysler Museum of Art. Tickets include an open bar, light bites and dancing all night to incredible music.
October 2 & 3
The eighth annual Asian Night Market returns this Friday and Saturday evening, with diverse Asian cultural performances and Lion Dancing, food, unique shopping opportunities, a fashion show and a K-Pop Dance Competition. There will also be free interactive experiences for the whole family with karaoke, face painting and even the Mindbender ride. There is definitely something for everyone! And the party doesn’t stop at 11 PM – The AfterParty will go all night with Kim Lee from reality show “Bling Empire” DJ-ing at Yours Truly.

Opa! Embrace OKC’s rich Greek culture this weekend at the annual Greek Festival with delicious food, live music and dancing, shopping and tours of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. It’s hotly anticipated, so be sure to allow plenty of time to sample everything and explore this community celebration.
October 3
One of OVAC’s most colorful events, the 12×12 fundraiser, returns to Dunlap Codding downtown. Featuring 175 Oklahoma visual artists, each creating an original work 12×12 in size, this is one of the most diverse art exhibitions in town. There will also be live music and delicious food and of course, the opportunity to bid on your favorite piece to take home with you after the show.
RestoreOKC 10th Anniversary Celebration
RestoreOKC is celebrating its 10th anniversary of community service, working with the neighbors, community leaders and partners of NE OKC. This non-profit “cultivates restoration and opportunity through interconnected efforts in health, housing, education and employment” and is inviting everyone to learn more about their incredible organization. The neighborhood festival will take place at Harden Park and will have food trucks, mural paintings, a historical walk and even a performance by OKC’s Jabee. While the festival is free and open to the public, advance registration is encouraged.
Steamroller Printmaking Art Festival
ARTSPACE at Untitled brings the industrial steamroller back to 1 NE 3rd St. for its annual Steamroller Printmaking Art Festival. Local artists create large prints, using the steamroller as a printing press. Plenty of other family-friend activities will also be throughout the festival including learning from experienced artists how to make your own monotype or block prints.
The Oklahoma Contemporary young professionals group, The Garde is presenting its second annual outdoor arts market this Saturday at the museum. This exciting event will feature creations from over 20 young artists, all available for purchase, and is a great way to show support for the arts community.
Fiestas de las Américas Parade & Street Festival
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Calle Dos Cinco with a colorful, vibrant all-day event that begins with the Parade of the Américas and continues with live music, delicious food, shopping and fun for the whole family!

The tiny city within our city, The Village, is hosting its second annual arts festival this Saturday at the Village Civic Plaza. With over 50 local artists and vendor booths, food and performances, there is sure to be something for everyone! On Sunday morning, 9 – 11 AM, the arts festival will host sensory-friendly hours with the absence of live music or loud noises. There will also be a quiet space available within City Hall for the duration of the arts festival, if anyone needs a break from the festivities.

Scissortail Park brings its second annual R&B Festival, live from the Love’s Travel Stops Stage. Catch headliners Silk, Donell Jones and Keke Wyatt, along with other incredible performing artists, as you enjoy a sunny afternoon in the park. This festival is ticketed, so grab yours today!

The 24th annual Taste of Western returns to Will Rogers Theatre, featuring all of the delicious delicacies the Western Avenue District has to offer. Guests can sample unlimited bites from over 15 local restaurants, enjoy wine, beer and whiskey tastings, bid on incredible silent auction items and dance the night away to live music.

The American Banjo Museum is celebrating its 2026 inductees to the Banjo Hall of Fame this weekend, with full days of strummed merriment. There will be performances, jam sessions, sing-alongs, dinners and parties, so be sure to head to Bricktown to check out one of OKC’s quirkiest museums and join in the fun.

The Plaza District is calling all ghosts and goblins as it hosts its monthly block party this Friday evening. There will be frightening events happening all night, including live performances, so prepare to be scared as you walk the street. Costumes are encouraged, but having a good time is required.

The Oklahoma City Philharmonic will perform the concert World of Wonder on Oct. 10, which is an “immersive journey through shadow and light” and will even feature “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin.

First American Museum will hold their annual Indigenous Peoples Day celebration and everyone is invited! This year’s theme is Sovereignty in Motion, which explores the way Indigenous communities move through daily life. There will be traditional dances, incredible cuisine and many more activities for the whole family to take part in the festivities.

In one of the most historic, and haunted, hotels in Oklahoma City, a renowned mentalist will be captivating audiences this October. Southern Plains Productions has brought Vinny DePonto to the Skirvin Hotel to perform real-time artful demonstrations of artful storytelling, visual art and of course, psychological tricks.

Immerse yourself in the German tradition of OK!toberfest at the OKC Fair Park. There will be live performances of polka music and dancing, a beer stein holding competition and of course, German beer and wine and delicious food!

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park brings back its fall play reading series this October, beginning with the staged reading of Forrest, Macready, Macbeth by D. Lance Marsh. Based on the true story of the 1849 Astor Place Riots, Marsh tells the story of American actor Edwin Forrest and English actor William Charles Macready, both tasked with playing the infamous role of Macbeth. The feud between American and English audience members in Manhattan that followed left at least 22 rioters dead and an incredible tale to tell.

Carpenter Square Theatre will present the dark comedy play The Minutes by Tracy Letts, author of August: Osage County. Nominated for the 2022 Tony Award for Best Play, The Minutes takes place at a small-town city council meeting, bringing a hilarious but explosive, thrilling political narrative to life.

The annual event of the season returns as the Oklahoma City Philharmonic hosts the Maestro’s Ball. This year’s theme, Move Music Forward, focuses on celebrating the music, artistry and community of the OKC Phil. The proceeds from this event help maintain the quality of the world-class performances, the free community concerts and music education programs all hosted by our incredible orchestra.
Scissortail Park is celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day on Oct. 17, with a full day of festivities for the whole family. There will be an arts and craft market, a youth Powwow and delicious food trucks.
The annual Stockyards Stampede is a true Oklahoma tradition. The day kicks off at 10 AM with a parade down Main Street, beginning under the archway on Exchange. Longhorns will be in the National Saddlery Arena until 2 PM, then led back to the Oklahoma National Stockyards. With incredible food, live music, a Made in Oklahoma Market and even the crowning of Little Miss and Mr. Stockyard City, this is a perfect opportunity to experience everything Stockyard City has to offer.

The Oklahoma County Medical Society Alliance is a group of physicians and their spouses who have a mission of promoting wellness, serving the community and developing friendships between medical families. This Sunday, they are hosting their 34th annual Kitchen Tour, a fundraiser for non-profits that promote better health across Oklahoma. Tour five beautiful kitchens both in and around Nichols Hills. They are also hosting a Necklace Raffle for an incredible piece by Naifeh Fine Jewelry.

Eisenhower: This Piece of Ground
OKC Rep Theatre has brought the New Los Angeles Repertory Company’s production of Eisenhower: This Piece of Ground, written by Richard Hellesen, to the Te Ata stage at Oklahoma Contemporary. This touring presentation, running from Oct. 22 to Nov. 1, stars actor and Tony winner John Rubinstein as President Dwight D. Eisenhower as he looks back on his life from his childhood, through World War II and on to his two terms as president.

A Halloween Hoedown is happening this month at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Kids are invited to trick-or-treat through the museum’s turn-of-the-century town, Prosperity Junction. Then head over to the Town Square for face painting, crafts and western dancing. Be sure to wear your best costume and have a great evening getting wild in the west!

The Oklahoma City Ballet brings its annual productions of Shorts back to the Civic Center stage this October. Each year, three shorter ballet performances are featured with a dynamic cast and incredible choreography. This year, the 1942 American ballet Rodeo, choreographed by Agnes de Mille and featuring music from composer Aaron Copland, leaves viewers feeling like they are on a Western ranch. Christopher Bruce’s Hush was inspired by early silent films, with the dancer’s movement discussing themes of family, humor and love. The first original ballet choreographed in the United States, Serenade by George Balanchine, will also be performed. This recognizable ballet is known for the fluid, ethereal movement in a moonlit atmosphere.
Painted Sky Opera is celebrating 10 incredible years of bringing opera music to Oklahoma City. A Decade of Divas will be performed as a concert, featuring some of the incredible voices and iconic performances that have graced the stage over the last decade.

Heritage Hills Historic Homes Tour
The annual Heritage Hills Historic Homes Tour, which benefits Historic Preservation Inc. and pollinator gardens, returns on Oct. 24 & 25, celebrating 60 years of history, architecture, preservation and community. For just $30, stroll through the beautiful historic neighborhood of Heritage Hills on a self-guided tour and learn more about historical facts and stories of the homes and area. Parking is available at St. Luke’s Methodist Church with a shuttle available, which can also be used between tour stops.

The Bricktown Association, in partnership with Downtown OKC, is hosting the 12th annual Brick or Treat throughout Bricktown. Bring your little ones for trick-or-treating at various locations and businesses throughout our downtown bricked streets. There will also be spooky music, roaming costumed characters and photo ops around the area. Children must be 14 and younger and in costume to receive candy and giveaways, so have your kids test out their Halloween night costume this Sunday for an afternoon of fun!

Music to Die For: Songs From the Shadows
The Oklahoma City Philharmonic’s first Pops concert is Halloween weekend, with Music to Die For: Songs of the Shadows on stage both Friday and Saturday evening. This performance will be full of hauntingly beautiful and spooky selections from film, television and Broadway and will feature four guest vocalists as well as guest conductor David Andrew Rogers.
Third Annual Coal Creek Balloon Fest
Step outside the city to Tuttle for Coal Creek Winery & Event Center’s third annual Balloon Fest! There will be hot air balloons flying, helicopter rides, tethered balloon rides, food trucks and a vendor’s market as well as activities for kids, live music and much more. All balloon and helicopter activities are weather permitting, but the rest of the weekend is rain or shine.

Factory Obscura will be filled with great music on Halloween night as local artists Baileyboy, Burl, Monte, Strawberry ’66 and This is a Dark Ride all perform in Mix-Tape. These performers will be playing everything from spooky Halloween music to classic ’90s nostalgia.
