The Boldt Company’s New Paid Volunteer Time-Off Program

The Boldt Company recently completed its first year of its new paid volunteer time-off program, which gives employees the opportunity to volunteer throughout the year on company time.

Since the initiative launched in January, Boldt employees nationwide have logged more than 1,400 hours, serving 139 different nonprofit organizations. The Oklahoma City office has provided nearly 100 hours of community service.

“Serving the communities where we live and work is a priority at Boldt,” said Boldt President of Southern and Western Operations Jeff Shipley. “We are committed to making an impact and building strong communities and futures. Boldt understands any act of service — no matter how big or small — makes a difference, and we’re glad to provide our employees with a flexible program to give back.”

Boldt Oklahoma City employees often volunteer together, such as earlier this year at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Center for Family Love. The groups completed a variety of tasks at each nonprofit, such as packing food boxes, cleaning a garden center and painting light fixtures.

“We’re not afraid to get down in the dirt and tackle the unglamorous jobs a nonprofit needs us to,” Shipley said. “We’re a construction company, after all.”

Paycom donates $125,000 to The Salvation Army, holds 10th annual coat drive

Paycom recently made the largest donation the Oklahoma City-based nonprofit has received for its Red Kettle Campaign. The company donated $110,000 to The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma to support its emergency shelter, feeding program and Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Oklahoma City. Paycom also gave $15,000 to The Salvation Army of North Texas.

“It is a privilege to continue supporting The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma and do our part to help feed and provide for thousands of families in Oklahoma,” said Amy Cook Fisher, Paycom’s director of client experience. “Our employees play a vital role in our long-standing partnership with The Salvation Army, and we’re proud to continue exemplifying our value of serving to an organization making such a significant impact.”

The $110,000 donation is the largest the Oklahoma City-based nonprofit has received for its Red Kettle Campaign. The donations are part of Paycom’s ongoing giving campaign that provides team members the opportunity to donate to a variety of local and national causes.

In addition to Wednesday’s donation, Paycom recently hosted Holidazzle, its 10th annual coat drive and holiday-themed event, where employees and Oklahoma City community members provided 800 coats to The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma. Three hundred coats have also been donated to The Salvation Army of North Texas by Paycom’s Texas Operations Center employees.

“The winter can be an especially difficult season for many of our neighbors, and Paycom’s donation will help us provide much-needed resources now and year-round,” said Maj. Charles Powell, area commander of The Salvation Army. “Many in our community are struggling with inflation-related costs, so this support is as important as ever before.”

Paycom and its employees have donated nearly $770,000 over the past 10 years to The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma.

Team members across Paycom also collected, assembled and distributed gifts and stockings to senior citizens and families in The Salvation Army shelter. Employees also volunteered at the on-site food pantry.
