Some of the greatest art in human history was produced in the 19th century, and much of the greatest art created during that exalted period was a product of la Belle France. The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art draws on the resources of the National Gallery of Art to present an incredible collection of sketches and watercolors from David, Delacroix, Manet, Ingres, Cezanne, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec and more masters of movements that shaped the course of art history, including Impressionism, Romanticism, Neo-Classicism, Realism and Post-Impressionism – bienvenue a Vernet to Villon: Nineteenth-Century French Master Drawings.
