Street performers, live bands and food trucks will be lining the streets of downtown Edmond as Heard on Hurd returns for its 2017 season.
New to this season’s run are performances from local street acts, starting this month with a decades dance by Guthrie-based dance group Dance With Me, as well as live acts such as native alternative rocker Hannah Wolff and her band, folk/pop singer songwriter Grant Adams and blues and roots-laced rock trio KALO.
The event will also include food trucks and pop-up shops as well as a children’s area, and Citizens Bank of Edmond’s new lobby at 1st and Broadway will be transformed into an activity-packed collection of large lawn games.
President and CEO of Citizens Bank Jill Castilla said visitors can enjoy fun surprises and new additions.
“We’re proud to say that Heard on Hurd vendors are unique and offer a wide range of styles. Some food trucks from the month include anything from Cajun cuisine to cupcakes from Cupcake Wars to gluten-free and healthy options,” Castilla adds. “The kids’ area will feature activities, crafts and face painting while local artisans will have a letterpress, organic active wear and healthy dog treats and toys.”
The event will be held on the evening of Saturday, March 18 – and it’s still free to visit. Click here for more information.
