The annual event this Tuesday will honor Lime Painting as New Business of the Year and QKI Consulting as Small Business of the Year.
The Oklahoma City Black Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Event luncheon will serve to announce incoming and outgoing board members and recognize this year’s award winners for Black-owned businesses as well as corporate partners.
The businesses receiving Oklahoma City Black Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 awards are:
Lime Painting – New Business of the Year
QKI Consulting – Small Business of the Year
Metro Technology – Spotlight Award
Bank of Oklahoma – Large Business
Cox Business – Corporate Partner
“Based upon recommendations from the board and staff, each of these awardees have supported OKCBCC in multiple ways like participation in our events and in assisting many of our members as valued resources,” said Joanne Davis, Oklahoma City Black Chamber of Commerce president.
The annual event serves as a celebration of the chamber and businesses’ accomplishments, Davis said.
“These awards show the impact of our relationships with these companies and it shows the connections that we have forged,” she said. “It also makes our business community aware that these awardees can be trusted agents to help and assist our business community in creating, developing and maintaining their businesses.
“OKCBCC’s mission is to be of value to the Black business community and, by extension, our whole community. Part of this event is to remind people of who we are and what we are doing and what we have accomplished. It is also a time to celebrate those businesses and partners who have helped and are assisting us on our goals and to introduce them to a broader audience which hopefully leads to additional business relationships!”
