The donation will help defer costs for participants, as the organization serves more than 15,000 children annually.
Paycom raised $20,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County through its employee giving program.
“Our employees are passionate about each nonprofit they help, and the Boys & Girls Clubs hold a special place for many of them,” said Charles Franks, Paycom manager of talent acquisition. “Whether it was through personal experience or kids of their own, our team members have witnessed the impact these programs have on the next generation.”
Earlier this summer, Paycom team members from Oklahoma City stuffed backpacks for the organization. Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County programs serve more than 15,000 youth through 18 years old annually, offering summer and after-school programs in areas focused on academic enrichment, socioeconomic wellness, sports, college and career prep. With Paycom’s donation, some clubs can offer the benefits for as little as $10 for an entire year and, in most locations, no cost at all.
“Access to quality after-school programs can be difficult for families due to cost and transportation, but our organization is committed to overcoming that barrier by providing all of the youth we serve with opportunities to have great futures,” said Teena Belcik, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County. “We’re beyond grateful for the support from Paycom employees and hope to continue making an impact in the community together.”
