Ronald McDonald House Oklahoma City is looking to partner with local restaurants to prepare and deliver evening meals to their guests.
Funding is available to pay for the meals, but occupants are unable to leave the lodging due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“Typically, volunteers provide dinner, but they aren’t allowed in our house due to an effort to further minimize risk,” said Ronald McDonald House spokesperson Valerie Aubert. “We would like to join efforts and support local restaurants that may be struggling, and are seeking those in our community who are ready and willing to order, pay and have 20 adult meals delivered.”
Residents have no means for reheating meals, so they must be individually portioned and able to be refrigerated, Aubert said.
