When it comes to parties, this is how Uptown gets down: Featuring the very finest food restaurants along NW 23rd Street have to offer, the fourth annual Uptown Uncorked is set for Thursday.
The event is the largest fundraiser to assist the ever-evolving 23rd Street, and showcasing their culinary skills this year are Chae, Cheever’s Cafe, Pizzeria Gusto, The Drake, Chick-n-Beer, Guernsey Park, Big Truck Tacos, Guyutes and Back Door BBQ.
“Uptown Uncorked is the neighborhood’s chance to celebrate everything great about Uptown 23rd in one night, and raise money for beautification of the district,” says Chad Whitehead, chairman of Uptown Uncorked Committee.
OKC Energy FC head coach Jimmy Nielsen will be at the event, held at the Oklahoma History Center, to celebrate along with the district.
“This event is the single largest fundraising effort for the neighborhood each year,” says Whitehead. “More than 40 percent of our total budget depends on the outcome of this evening.”
As well as food and drink tasting and the fun-filled party atmosphere, a raffle will be held with prizes from local businesses. Click here to buy tickets: https://uptown23rd.com/uncorked/
Uptown 23rd District Association, the organizer of the event, was established in 2012 to further the revitalization of one of Oklahoma City’s busiest corridors. This annual feast is both a means to boost those efforts, and proof that they’re paying off.
