More than 100 employees from APMEX also volunteered at the Regional Food Bank’s Rock N’ Box event, all guided by the personal experience of founder Scott Thomas.
APMEX, one of the largest sellers of precious metals in the industry, donated $250,000 to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to help provide food for thousands of Oklahomans experiencing hunger.
The donation comes from a portion of the proceeds of purchases on Giving Tuesday and a donation match.
“Service is a way of life at APMEX,” said APMEX founder Scott Thomas. “We are proud to be a part of the movement where no one in Oklahoma goes hungry. I grew up knowing hunger, which motivates me to help others who face those same struggles. I am proud to be a part of a company that wants to ensure that our community is taken care of.”
More than 100 employees from APMEX also volunteered at the Regional Food Bank’s Rock N’ Box event, sorting and packaging up boxes for distribution to Oklahoma residents in need.
For more than a decade, APMEX has partnered with the Regional Food Bank to give back and serve chronically hungry children, hardworking families and seniors who struggle to make ends meet. APMEX has given monetary donations, and employees have volunteered in various events.

Our community partners are essential to our mission of providing nutritious food and pathways to self-sufficiency for people facing hunger.”
As one of the country’s largest and most recognized precious metals retailers, the company will donate proceeds from the 1 oz Silver AMPEX Giving Tuesday Round until Dec. 31.
