The Holiday Stroll invites families and history enthusiasts to explore three significant historical locations within a few blocks of each other near Downtown Edmond.
Begin this year’s Holiday Stroll at the Edmond History Museum where the whole family will enjoy toy trains, children’s activities and the opportunity to explore the current exhibits including “Edmond’s Social Fabric: Quilts from 1890-2021.”
Move on to the 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse which promises historical games and crafts while enjoying the rich history this location brings. Finally, stop by the Victorian Rodkey House to enjoy Santa photos, cookie decorating and hot cocoa. The warmth and charm of the Rodkey House will bring fun for all ages.
Scooters Coffee will be on-site providing hot cocoa, while the Sooner Division of Toy Train Operating Society, Oklahoma N-rail and Operation Lifesaver will showcase a variety of model trains.
The Holiday Stroll is a collaborative effort hosted by the Edmond History Museum, Edmond Historical Preservation Trust and the Edmond chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution. It embodies the community’s commitment to preserving and sharing the rich history of Edmond while creating cherished holiday memories for residents and visitors alike.
