Inaugural 4th of July Bricktown Boat Parade
Kick off America’s 250th birthday month in Bricktown with its inaugural boat parade! Local businesses, including Brickopolis, Bricktown Water Taxi, Melting Pot, Crabtown and more, are joining forces for an incredible, patriotic display down the Bricktown canal. On land, check out the Car Showcase at Oklahoma and Wanda Jackson Way. The festivities begin a 10 AM, with free parking available across the district.
Show that you are proud to be an American at American Solera in Edmond with a fun, friendly trivia competition. There will be craft beer available to purchase, but the trivia is free to play. Winning teams will even take home some great prizes!
July 3
The Oklahoma City Philharmonic returns to Scissortail Park for the annual Red, White and Boom patriotic celebration. The orchestra will be joined by guest vocalists to perform all-American classics and fan favorites meant to be played on Independence Day. Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair and get ready for an incredible night of music, finishing with a spectacular fireworks display.

Songs and Stripes: Big Band Show 2026
The Edmond History Museum presents an old-timey radio show full of music, comedy and history with three shows at 2:30, 4:30 and 7:30 PM. The audience will be taken back in time to World War II, with live musicians and actors reading scripts incorporating Edmond’s wartime history in the ’40s and the role Route 66 plays in Oklahoma’s history. Meant to feel like a USO comedy tour, this Big Band Show will also honor our modern military heroes.
July 3-4
Star Spangled Nights at Frontier City
Kids of all ages will love heading to Frontier City for a full day of theme-park adventure, finishing with a breathtaking fireworks show. Sit back and watch the sky erupt with color with a patriotic soundtrack playing throughout the park.
Oklahoma City Comets vs Sugar Land Space Cowboys
What is more American than baseball? Head to the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark to watch the Comets take on the Space Cowboys beginning at 7:05 PM. On Friday, attendees will also receive a Cosmic Tiki Luggage Tag. Win or lose, there will be post-game fireworks on both Friday and Saturday, lighting up the sky over Bricktown.
July 4
Star Spangled Beach Bash at OKANA
It’s Red, White and Beach at OKANA this July 4 with a full day of family fun entertainment, games and all-American fun. There will be a DJ spinning tunes all day, a hot dog eating competition, a foam party in the pool and live music beginning at 6 PM. Finishing the night out will be a festive fireworks display at 9:30 PM.
LibertyFest’s Parade and Fireworks Show
Start your Independence Day at 9 AM by heading to downtown Edmond for the annual parade marching through the streets. This year’s theme is “From 1776 to Route 66: The Freedom of America Rolls On,” with local businesses, community groups and clubs all taking part. Arrive early for the best view!
End the evening with the Grand Finale Fireworks display at 9:30 PM on UCO’s campus. Known to be one of the largest fireworks shows in the metro, LibertyFest offers a patriotic, family-friendly atmosphere and a showcase to impress all of Edmond.

Based on the hit movie starring Whoopi Goldberg, Sister Act tells the tale of lounge diva Deloris Van Cartier, who accidentally witnesses a murder and is then forced into hiding. With no other options available, the police conceal Deloris in a convent where she is sure to be safe. As Deloris adjusts to her new life, replacing sequins and singing for a habit and vows of silence, she takes on the task of revitalizing the nuns’ choir. With a hilarious book by Cheri Steinkellner and Bill Steinkellner, music by Aland Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, Sister Act is full of feel-good vibes, powerful singing and finding your true self in the most unexpected places.
July 9-18
The classic tale The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is being performed under the stars by Storyteller Theatre at the historic Harn Homestead, written by Mark Twain and adapted for the stage by Brenna Wickstrom. Follow Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn’s shenanigans as they travel along the Mississippi River.
July 10
The monthly block party in The Plaza is a great time to fall in love all over again with one of our quirkiest districts. This month at Summer on the Plaza, find unique gifts from one of the funky local shops, stop in to have a bite to eat or a cocktail at one of the many restaurants or bars. Don’t forget to check out the Plaza Walls murals throughout the district as well!
OAK OKC is hosting its Live After 5 in their Heartwood Park with live music from Eric Himan and his band. Grab your friends and a drink from one of the restaurants at OAK and enjoy Himan’s signature soulful sounds.
The WWE returns to the Paycom Center for an epic night of wrestling! See all of your favorite superstar entertainers including the undisputed WWE Champion, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, US Champion Trick Williams and so many more battle it out, live in the center ring.

Sordid Lives at Carpenter Square Theatre
Sordid Lives is a dark comedy by Del Shores and a winner of multiple awards including 14 Drama-Louge awards and 13 Critics Choice awards during its long run in Los Angeles. The story follows the aftermath of a tragic, yet hilarious, event when Peggy, a “good Christian woman” from Texas, dies suddenly after tripping over her lover’s wooden legs.

Scissortail Park has brought back its free Summer Concert Series live from the Love’s Travel Stop Stage and Great Lawn. This month, grab a blanket, a picnic and some friends to enjoy some live music because “July is for Jazz.”

Celtic Throne II: Psalter of Ireland
Experience the splendor of Ireland with Irish dancing, music and an epic story as Celtic Throne II: Psalter of Ireland takes the stage at the Armstrong Theatre. This captivating display combines interesting choreography and a theatrical flair from this Oklahoma-based company.

Scissortail Park’s Night Market
One of the most popular events of the summer returns this Friday evening at Scissortail Park, as it presents its first Night Market of the season. With incredible live entertainment, dozens of local vendors and merchants to shop from and delicious food trucks to serve dinner, there is plenty of fun for the entire family.
July 18
Records and Renderings Opening Reception
Exhibit C Gallery in the Horizons District is having its opening reception for the upcoming exhibition Records and Renderings. Guests are invited to view the new collection as well as enjoy refreshments and live music. Records and Renderings explores the storytelling traditions of ledger art within the Native community.

Edmond’s monthly street festival, Heard on Hurd, returns this Saturday. With over 30 food trucks, vendors and merchants as well as some great deals throughout the businesses of downtown Edmond, this is a fun way to spend a Saturday evening. There will also be live music beginning at 6 PM.

The Black Keys: Peaches ‘N Kream Tour
The American Rock duo The Black Keys return to OKC on their Peaches ‘N Kream Tour at the Zoo Amphitheatre. They are ready to play their hits as well as the new, bluesy-folk music on their 14th studio album, Peaches.
July 22
The Indie Rock band Lord Huron takes the Zoo Amp stage as they tour their new music from the album The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1. With a mix of Americana, country, folk and rock, this band appeals to most audiences and is set to provide an excellent night of music.
July 24
Strike out rhino extinction and join the OKC Zoo’s chapter of American Association of Zoo Keepers at its annual Bowling for Rhinos event. This fundraiser is held at Bowlero in Edmond and raises money to protect rhinos and their habitats, with 100% of the proceeds going to this cause. Teams, solo bowlers and spectators are all welcome!
The Sense of Beauty President’s Tour at OKCMOA
President and CEO of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Dr. Michael J. Anderson, will be leading an intimate tour of the current exhibition The Sense of Beauty: Six Centuries of Painting from Museo de Arte de Ponce. Guests will be able to learn more about the paintings presented in the collection as well as the master artists they represent. A private reception will follow the tour, including an adult beverage and refreshments provided by Ganache Patisserie.
Head to the West Village District this Friday evening for the first annual Out West Music Fest! This event is a music lover’s dream with live music at multiple locations throughout this trendy area. Local businesses are dressing up as some of America’s hottest musical cities and the street will be full of fun, interactive activities for the whole family.

Channel your inner cowboy this Sunday at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum as it hosts the National Day of the Cowboy! Activities include mini-barrel racing, giant horseshoes and other fun arts and crafts for the little ones. The Oklahoma Wildcatters, our local PBR team, will be hanging out to meet fans and even judge them on their mechanical bull rides. The Ward Family Trick Ropers will also be performing throughout the day, showing off their incredible rope skills.
The dynamic Mexican norteño band, Grupo Frontera, will be live at the Zoo Amp, blending their fusion of traditional and pop music. This Latino group is known for their energetic and exciting shows which features their rhythmic music and heartfelt lyrics. Even if you don’t speak Spanish, you are going to want to move your body and dance to Grupo Frontera’s music!

Lyric Theatre’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Sweeney Todd has diehard fans of both the dramatic music as well as the sinister storyline. Sweeney himself is a magnetic, serial-killer barber with his own brand of vigilante justice who has a penchant for his signature “close shave.” When he teams up with Mrs. Lovett, the local pie-baker, they create a recipe for success with her new, special meat pies. The spectacular Canterbury Voices will also join the cast to bring Fleet Street straight to Oklahoma City.
