Reagan Smith names GIS mapping manager

Reagan Smith, a state, federal and Tribal project management consulting company, recently announced the promotion of Danielle Dooty to GIS mapping manager.

“Danielle’s expertise in geospatial solutions coupled with her skills in business analysis enhance the contributions she brings to the Reagan Smith team,” said Monica Smith Griffin, Reagan Smith CEO. “We are excited to award Danielle with this well-earned promotion and look forward to her expanded role within our team.”

Dooty joined Reagan Smith after graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in geographic information science. With a focus in GIS, she supplemented her studies with geology and programming. As GIS mapping manager, Dooty will work with all departments at Reagan Smith, including wildlife, archaeology, permitting and land. She will oversee the production of geographic information system maps created by internal teams.

“My time at Reagan Smith has been rewarding, and I am excited to move into my new management role,” Dooty said. “No two projects are the same, which yields opportunities for continued learning and strengthening of my skills and those of my team members.”

Dooty is an active member of the South Central Arc Users Group (SCAUG), a nonprofit association of professionals in the South Central United States promoting the effective use of spatial data and information technologies to understand and manage GIS.

Eric Taylor, Omar Khoury joins Guernsey

Eric Taylor, PE, LEED AP, recently joined Guernsey as part of its team of engineers.

Taylor brings more than 21 years of experience in mechanical engineering to Guernsey.

“I am thrilled to welcome Eric to our team,” said Jeff Napoliello, Guernsey senior vice president and director. “His expertise and experience are invaluable, and they are magnified by his authentic interpersonal skills. He will contribute real strength to Guernsey, our clients and our Oklahoma communities. I look forward to learning from him and collaborating to grow our teams and deliver to our clients the value and top-notch service they have come to expect from Guernsey.”

Before joining Guernsey, Taylor served as senior mechanical engineer, design manager, section head and project manager at Black & Veatch’s federal division in Overland Park, Kansas, and Arlington, Virginia. Eric led mechanical and multidisciplined AE teams throughout the nation and abroad.

However, Taylor’s roots run deep in Oklahoma: many years ago, he called OKC home, serving as a process and facilities engineer within the maintenance wing at Tinker Air Force Base. For those first six years of his engineering career, he managed nondestructive inspection of critical jet engine rotating hardware, designed facility modifications and managed a $15 million maintenance contract.

“I am very familiar with Guernsey’s reputation for strong service and a value-driven culture,” Taylor said. “It is important as my family moved back to Oklahoma that I found a 100% employee-owned company eager to grow with me, value the family and work-life balance and leverage my broad organizational and leadership experience to make a lasting difference in the company, AEC industry and broader community. I’ve found that place in Guernsey.”

At Guernsey, Taylor will lead a multidisciplined team of engineers as vice president and design group director over engineering. As a seasoned engineer and leader of teams, Taylor will broaden Guernsey’s ability to bring enhanced value and innovative solutions to clients and communities.

Omar Khoury

Omar Khoury, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, also recently joined Guernsey as one of four design group directors focusing on architecture.

Omar brings more than 30 years of experience to Guernsey, having worked in the metropolitan Oklahoma City area since 1992 at all levels from project manager and designer to principal.

“I thrive in a team environment with the highest level of professional integrity and creativity and where great work is fun,” Khoury said. “I look forward to blending with the Guernsey team and achieving new levels through collaboration, research, analysis and synthesis — all inspired by the creative leadership at Guernsey.”

Khoury’s work includes numerous educational K-12 and higher education projects at OU and OSU. He has also been involved on a list of award-winning projects such as the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall, First Americans Museum, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Oklahoma City Community Foundation, Calvary Baptist Church, First American Title offices and Saint Elijah Orthodox Church.

“We are thrilled to have Omar on our team not only as a gifted architect but as a great person,” said Jeff Napoliello, Guernsey senior vice president and director of the Design Group. “He brings a different perspective, which will only drive more positive change to an already very successful group of experts, ensuring Guernsey keeps moving in the right direction to meet client’s needs.”

Khoury founded MODA Architecture in Oklahoma City’s Bricktown in 2008 following numerous years with other firms.
