84 Hospitality Group started the Midtown Mexican restaurant in 2017 as its third concept at the time. Shared Plate will continue operation with little disruption to service or hours.

Rev Mex, a Mexican restaurant in Midtown, recently announced the transition of ownership from Rachel Cope and 84 Hospitality Group to Shared Plate Hospitality, led by Jamie and Jordan Winteroth.

In a news release issued, both hospitality groups said little to no disruption to service and operating hours is expected during the transition.

“As 84 Hospitality Group continues to grow and evolve, it is with excitement that we turn over the reins of Rev Mex to longtime friends and fantastic operators, Jamie and Jordan Winteroth,” said Rachel Cope, 84 Hospitality Group founder and CEO. “I personally am excited to watch them give Rev Mex the love and attention it deserves as we focus on the expansion of Empire, Burger Punk and Remix Ramen. Many margaritas will be had over the next several years supporting Jamie and Jordan and supporting our former concept.”

Rev Mex originally opened as Revolucion in 2017 as the third concept in 84 Hospitality Group’s portfolio. Revolucion initially presented as a traditionally inspired taqueria and cantina at NW Sixth Street and Classen Boulevard in OKC.

Rev Mex has also hosted many nonprofit organizations on-site and through catering efforts, as well as being a longtime supporter of LGBTQIA+ organizations.

Under Shared Plate Hospitality, Jordan and Jamie Winteroth also own and operate Social Deck + Dining and Aurora.

“We have been longtime fans of Rev Mex, spending many Margarita Mondays working at the bar, so it is nothing short of an honor to have been approached by a fellow respected peer to take care of something she lovingly created,” said Jamie Winteroth, owner of Shared Plate Hospitality. “We look forward to working alongside our new Rev Mex team and hope to continue the Rev Mex reputation of beautiful, delicious Mexican favorites, unique cocktails and genuine hospitality, while introducing fun ideas and community events for years to come. Cheers to the new chapter of Shared Plate Hospitality and to Rachel and 84 Hospitality Group!”
