In its May issue, Better Homes & Gardens magazine featured the home of Oklahoma City’s own Dustin and Sarah Dorr, capturing their unique style that represents the places they’ve lived and visited before moving back to their hometown.

Interior designer Dustin Dorr told the magazine the old house they picked reminded them of homes in southern California, where they last lived, and Santa Fe, N.M., one of their favorite places to visit. In turning the house built in 1918 into a modern-day home to fit their family of four, the Doors mixed styles, added special touches to keep things interesting and even replaced the grass lawn with a garden of stones and drought-tolerant plants.
