Oklahoma City shines just a little brighter during the holiday season. From the dangling lights of Automobile Alley to the stunning, collective set-ups in local neighborhoods, the 405 gleams and glows in multicolored wonder. Whether you’re looking to walk through these winter wonderlands or stick to enjoying electric spectacles from the warmth of a car, there are plenty of Christmas lights in OKC for every budget and preference. Here are the top 10 spots to revel in some holiday cheer.


Bricktown Canal Lights | Nov. 18–Jan. 8

Stroll the shops, cruise the canal or take in the sparkling Bricktown Christmas lights. Enjoy caroling canal rides, spot the Bricktown Christmas Tree at the canal overlook across from the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark or simply savor a walk along the beautifully lit canal. Free, Bricktown.

Safari Lights | Nov. 12–Jan. 4

The Oklahoma City Zoo tradition of larger-than-life animal light sculptures returns with s’mores and Santa visits. Visitors can either explore on foot and view a musical light show, or they can drive down a path full of shining creatures. $65 per vehicle or $15 per person walking, 5:30–11 p.m., Oklahoma City Zoo & Botanical Garden.


Automobile Alley | Dec. 3 – Jan. 8

As you drive through the historic streets of OKC’s Automobile Alley, you’ll be immersed in a tunnel of lights. After sunset, the boutiques, shops and businesses lining the street come alive with a dazzling display of colorful sparkles. Cruise through in the comfort of your heated car, or explore one of the ‘Lights on Broadway’ experiences happening until Dec. 13.

SPARKLE Holiday Walk at Scissortail Park | Nov. 21 – Jan. 4

Scissortail Park transforms into a glowing winter wonderland during the all-new SPARKLE Holiday Walk. From November 21–December 14 (Thursdays–Sundays) and nightly December 18–January 4, guests can stroll through immersive light displays, whimsical holiday scenes and sparkling installations perfect for all ages. Enjoy festive Friday night Holiday Markets featuring local vendors and seasonal treats on December 5, 12, and 19. Tickets start at $4.50 for members and $9 for general admission.

Luminance: An Enchanted Stroll | Nov. 21–Jan. 1

Edmond’s classic walk-through extravaganza in Mitch Park features massive light-up sculptures such as ornament tunnels, plush reindeer and a breathtaking golden ribbon tree. On the stroll’s opening day and Dec. 13, visitors can shop the Merry Marketplace with local food and crafts vendors. Free, 5–10 p.m., 1501 W. Covell Rd. 


Avondale Drive and Grand Boulevard | Season-long

These residential streets are known for their expansive, all-out light displays, so it’s worth a quick cruise to feel the neighborly holiday spirit. Free, Nichols Hills.


Downs Family Christmas | Nov. 24–Season-long

Tune into 99.9 FM and park in the lawn to view a decked-out synchronized light presentation with two 72-foot “Mega Trees.” The family accepts donations for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Free, 2900 72nd Ave. SE.


Chickasha Festival of Lights | Nov. 19–Dec. 31

The 43-acre Christmas carnival has a huge variety of holiday activities, such as an ice rink, Ferris wheel, carousel and carriage rides. The walk-through and drive-thru light display includes an glowing icy bridge guarded by lit-up nutcrackers and a large cone tree, and food trucks will serve wintry treats. Free; 6–10 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays, 6–11 pm. Fridays and Saturdays; Shannon Springs Park.

Lights from the Heart | Nov. 22–Dec. 31

This community drive-thru light display showcases two miles of gleaming, festive joy around Purcell Lake. Tune in to 104.1 for seasonal tunes as you drive. Admission is free, though donations are very much appreciated to help purchase and maintain the lights every year. 5:30–10 p.m., Purcell Lake.


Yukon’s Christmas in the Park | Ends Jan. 31

A beloved Oklahoma holiday tradition, Yukon’s Christmas in the Park features nearly three miles of lights, 5 million twinkles, and 500+ displays. Guests can drive through, walk the illuminated paths, snap photos at festive selfie stations, or ride the Santa Express Train. The route runs nightly from the Saturday before Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve, beginning in Yukon City Park and ending in Chisholm Trail Park. Admission is free. Yukon City Park
